Since 1978 we have specialised in manufacturing and
exporting prefabricated log houses made of round and
square logs and since 1994 log houses manufactured
with our unique patented wall system the most advanced
log house constructions method in Europe.
Traditional and still new
In 1994 we developed a new thermally more efficient
but still natural log wall structure. Which although
remaining faithful to log house building traditions in
Finland was able, unlike our traditional log houses, to
meet the stricter thermal insulation regulations
demanded in Germany our biggest exporting country.
Unique to Erlund House is our patented wall structure
which consists of a tight double tongue and groove log
wall, the bearing structure of the house, protected by
an external panelled wall made from heart sawn 28 mm
thick spruce panels. Between them is blown
ekovilla insulation - natural cellulose fibre
insulation, made from recycled paper creating a totally
natural breathable log wall structure with excellent
thermal insulation values.
